KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 -- Former Prime Minister wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor leaving the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex today. BERNAMAPIX: Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor described the court decision that acquitted her husband Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on charges related to tampering the 1Malaysia Development Berhad audit report as a victory for her family.
Earlier, the High Court here acquitted Najib and former 1MDB chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy of the charges after finding that the prosecution failed to prove a prima facie case against both of them at the end of the prosecution case. “Datuk Seri Najib wanted to communicate to the members of the media, he wanted to tell you that he is grateful to Allah with this decision today because it really uplifts his humble spirit and desire to fight,“ he said this right after the judgment was delivered by the judge.
“This is the first case out of those cases that we got a good result. I hope that the Attorney-General’s Chambers will not appeal because the finding of the judge is completely supportable,“ he said.
