Bersatu files report to ‘clear Hamzah’s name’, says more to follow FMTNews
Bersatu says it wants the cops to probe if the MACC was ‘forced’ to tarnish opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin’s reputation by mentioning him in the charge sheet of a corruption case.
KUALA LUMPUR: Bersatu has lodged a police report seeking to “clear Hamzah Zainudin’s name” after the opposition leader was named in the charge sheet of a RM15 million corruption case involving a businessman. Hamzah’s special officer, Ahmad Ikhwan Fadhli, said they also wanted the cops to investigate if the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission was “forced” to tarnish Hamzah’s reputation by mentioning him in the charges.
Meanwhile, Bersatu Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal said more police reports will be lodged nationwide over the matter.
