Washington Post/ABC survey shows Biden still appears to be favorite, as Sanders gains and Warren's popularity starts to fall ahead of Iowa caucuses.
The number of potential Democratic voters who say they would prefer Senator Elizabeth Warren to win the 2020 candidacy has fallen significantly, with Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders remaining the two frontrunners, according to a poll.found that 12 percent of Democratic-leaning registered voters would back Warren in their state's primary or caucus, down from 23 percent in October.
Biden, the former vice-president, maintains his leadamong the candidates at 32 percent support among Democrat-leaning registered voters, up from 28 percent before and a nine-point advantage over second-place Sanders. Biden was at 42 percent on the best candidate to defeat Trump. Next was Sanders at 17 percent then Warren at 11 percent.
She remains the only 2020 candidate outside of Biden and Sanders to hold double-digit support as the first-choice candidate of registered voters.
