BELURAN: The Beluran District Council is advised to seek new opportunities to increase its revenue.
Deputy Chief Minister II cum Minister of Local Government and Housing, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, said this should be done without adversely affecting stakeholders.“Executive officers and the district council chairman should collaborate on priority projects or programmes that have a high impact on the stakeholders of the Beluran District Council,” he said during a working visit here on Saturday.
His political secretary, Datuk Jonnybone Kurum, and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Datuk Jamili Nais, were also present. Also in attendance at the meeting were Rural Development Minister cum Labuk Assemblyman Datuk Samad Jambri, Assistant Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Industries Minister cum Tandek Assemblyman Datuk Hendrus Anding, Nominated Assemblyman Datuk Jaffari Walliam, Beluran District Officer Roger Appolonius and members of the Beluran District Council. Following the programme, Dr Joachim also attended the Beluran Community Meet and Greet event hosted by Samad.
