Rochester, N.Y. — Monroe County Executive Adam Bello announced a plan Wednesday to improve high-speed internet access in underserved parts of the county. The plan would provide up to $1.8 million to Spectrum to install connections in Hamlin, Clarkson, Sweden, Parma, Riga, Wheatland, Ogden, Rush, Mendon and Penfield. Bello said Spectrum would reach out to owners of homes and businesses that currently lack wire line access to internet services before installing connections with their permission.Up to $4.
