: Jabatan Penjara Malaysia bertekad untuk memperkasakan banduan dengan Pendidikan Teknikal dan Latihan Vokasional dalam bidang perindustrian, perladangan dan pertanian menerusi peruntukan RM10 juta yang diterima jabatan itu dalam Belanjawan 2024.

“Jabatan Penjara berharap dapat meningkatkan kadar produktiviti banduan dengan lebih efektif. Majikan dan industri boleh membantu dengan membuka peluang pekerjaan yang lebih meluas kepada para banduan dan bekas banduan. Jabatan itu turut memaklumkan sedang berusaha untuk memenuhi keperluan sebanyak 6,000 peluang pekerjaan dalam sebulan dan bagi merealisasikan hasrat itu, Yayasan Koreksional Penjara akan digerakkan untuk memberi bantuan yang bersesuaian dalam memulihkan banduan secara holistik.
