Unanimous decision at an EGM this evening to overturn a ban imposed by club president and menteri besar Aminuddin Harun.
PETALING JAYA: The beer ban at Seremban International Golf Club has been lifted after members voted unanimously at an extraordinary general meeting this evening to overturn the ban imposed by the club president, Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.The EGM was chaired by the club’s deputy president, Razali Ab Malik, who is Negeri Sembilan state secretary.
The state government owns the 18-hole golf course, but the 1,500 members own the clubhouse and other sports facilities. Club members are mostly civil servants, pensioners and private sector employees. Shankar said the decision to stop beer sales was not only unilateral but also against the club’s constitution.
