BAZINGA! SB19Official returns to NYC with a concert at historic Webster Hall
NEW YORK, NY – SB19, the groundbreaking Filipino boy band, returns to the Big Apple with a highly-anticipated show at Webster Hall scheduled on Saturday, August 5, 2023. The concert marks the group’s second trip back to the city since their last unforgettable concert at Palladium Times Square on November 5, 2022.
Debuting on October 26, 2018, with the soulful ballad single “Tilaluha,” SB19 faced initial challenges with a lukewarm reception. However, the turning point in their career came with the release of their second single, “Go Up,” on July 19, 2019. The dance practice video of the song went viral after being shared on Twitter and Facebook by a devoted fan, opening doors to national and international opportunities for the group.
With their innovative music style, SB19 has contributed to the popular sub-genre of Original Pilipino Music, aptly named Pinoy pop. Their success is a result of the collaboration between the two countries, symbolized by the letters “S” and “B” taken from their former Korean management company, ShowBT, and the number “19,” representing the country calling codes of South Korea and the Philippines.
