Video of the incident, which occurred at 6:20 p.m., shows the five people unleashing Rocco, removing him from the porch and leaving the area, Bayonne Capt. Eric Amato said. The five then boarded a light rail train at the 45th Street station headed for Hoboken.
Scarabaggio said she has never seen the people in the photos, but her neighbor said they have seen the group in the neighborhood. Anyone with information on the alleged thieves or has any information regarding the theft and/or Rocco’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau at 201-858-6925.
