San Jose soccer player Priscilla Quihuiz is the Bay Area News Group’s girls high school athlete of the week for Jan. 16-21 after she had received 32.92% of the vote at the 5 p.m. deadline Wednesday.

Oakland Tech basketball player Taliyah Logwood finished second and Leigh soccer player Jadyn Mason was third.Quihuiz, a sophomore, scored two goals and handed out one assist in a 7-1 win over Yerba Buena.
