The Nation Newspaper Bauchi police kill eight kidnappers, rescue three hostages
No fewer than eight suspected kidnappers/bandits have been killed by operatives of the Bauchi Police Command in collaboration with the hunters’ group.States border were said to have been ambushed in the operation carried out on April 22, 2024, following credible information received regarding their suspicious activities.
It added that two of the suspects who later died confessed to multiple kidnapping incidents across Bauchi and Plateau States, including the heinous killing of a village head in Ruruwai village, Lame district, Toro LGA, Bauchi State, on March 17.“Based on the information provided by the late suspects, the detectives proceeded to the kidnappers’ hideout to rescue three kidnapped victims from Dokayel village, who were taken captive on 20th April 2024.
