The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, SAZUG, in Bauchi State have urged Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to fulfil his campaign promise of providing a robust, effective, efficient education system for Nigerians.

The Chairperson of the Union in SAZUG, Awwal Hussain, made the appeal during a press conference held at the Yuli Campus in Bauchi at the weekend.
'The contending issues include the Federal Government's refusal to sign and implement the re-negotiated FGN/ASUU Agreement, non-payment of earned academic allowances, and arrears of promotion,' Nuhu stated. He also highlighted other concerns such as 'the illegal dissolution of governing councils in federal and some state universities and the release of only three and a half months of withheld salaries for work already done.
