A total of 44 persons were arrested on the first five days of 2023 during the continued implementation of law enforcement operation, the Police Provincial Office here reported.

Twenty-one of the arrested were involved in illegal drug trade. They were caught in 20 police operations.Likewise, service of warrants of arrest by the operatives of Batangas PPO resulted in the arrest of 16 wanted persons. Six personalities involved in illegal gambling were also arrested in four operations conducted by Batangas police.
