Jurucakap Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia Perak berkata, sepasukan anggota dari Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Ipoh dan Meru Raya dihantar ke lokasi kejadian. Katanya, nahas berlaku ketika bas dari Pulau Pinang itu keluar melalui Plaza Tol Jelapang untuk ke Terminal Bas Meru Raya. “Bas berkenaan merempuh besi penghadang tol menyebabkan cermin hadapan kenderaan itu pecah selain remuk di beberapa bahagian.

“Seramai 16 penumpang berada dalam kenderaan itu melibatkan enam lelaki dan 10 wanita. Empat mangsa yang cedera dihantar ke hospital oleh Unit Bantuan Perkhidmatan Kecemasan ,” katanya. – UTUSAN
