The two downtown-adjacent neighborhoods aim to show San Diegans how their bar, restaurant and artisan food businesses have exploded in recent years

For both events, diners pay in advance online for a tasting passport they can use to take a self-guided tour of locations at their leisure. Participating businesses will each offer tasting portion-size bites and sips from their menus, so it’s possible to visit them all without getting too full. “We are excited to introduce the first ever Taste of East Village,” said Ethan Olsen of the East Village Association. “East Village is home to a wide array of unique culinary gems including a diverse selection of Michelin guide restaurants, making it the perfect destination for a high-end foodie event. It’s also a great way for San Diegans and visitors to meet local businesses owners, enjoy delicious food and relish in everything the neighborhood has to offer.
