Stylist Emma Read, who has worked with David Jones, Myer and Westfield says the same rules apply to wearing shorts and skirts in the office. The longer shorts suit approach is also popular with fashion consultant Katherine Rizk, who has worked with leading models Naomi Campbell, Cheyenne Tozzi and Nicole Trunfio.
“Stick to neutral colours in muted tones that don’t push things too far. For some workplaces, a hot pink suit with short shorts just screams ‘look at me’, which can appear unprofessional.”
