The ashes of late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, known as 'Big S', have returned to Taiwan after her death at the age of 48 from influenza-related pneumonia while on vacation in Japan. Hsu's family, including her mother, sister, and husband DJ Koo, flew back to Taiwan with her ashes.

Hsu, also known by her stage name “Big S”, died at the age of 48 on Feb 2 after she came down with influenza-related pneumonia while on vacation with her family in Japan. She was later cremated in Japan., an urn containing Hsu’s ashes was shown being transported back to Taiwan from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport on Feb 5 on a VistaJet private charter flight, which landed at Taipei Songshan Airport at around 3pm the same day.
Lin Huei-chin, Wang’s wife, shared some of the final sweet photos of Hsu and Koo together on social media on Feb 4. Taiwanese actress-host Janet Chia, who is also the chairwoman of Taiwan’s iconic skyscraper Taipei 101, shared on social media on the night of Feb 4 her 22-year-old daughter An-an’s favourite photo taken with Hsu. The artiste was best known for her role as the feisty Shancai in the hit Taiwanese idol drama“There was a time when the kids were well-acquainted with Big S, and they used to go to Auntie Big S’s house to play together,” Chia, 50, wrote.
