Banks cease charging fees for credit card, financing repayments

The Association of Banks in Malaysia says banks will no longer charge customers for using cheque deposit machines and over-the-counter transactions for credit card and financing repayments. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 26, 2019.

BANKS will now cease charging fees for cheque and cash payments for credit card and financing repayments over the counter and at cash deposit machines, said the Association of Banks in Malaysia . “Currently, certain customer segments are already waived from these charges, such as for disabled persons and senior citizens.
