Guan Eng’s associate regrets outburst against Steven Sim as Penang DAP chief downplays incident, says ‘move on and move forward’ Bank Negara Malaysia governor Datuk Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour said that Malaysia’s strong fundamentals and positive prospects are key factors supporting the ringgit.
“Considering the strong economic fundamentals and prospects that we have, I believe these factors are all positive for the ringgit,” he said during a panel discussion titled ‘Reimagining Trade and Global Supply Chains for a Resilient Future’ at the China Conference: Southeast Asia 2025 here, yesterday.
“But what’s more important is that our main role is to ensure that there’s no excessive volatility that could impact business decision-making,” he added. “Hence, despite recent global policy shifts, addressing climate risk remains critical to ensuring supply chain resilience in Asean,” he said.
