Venice yang disenarai sebagai Tapak Warisan Dunia Unesco dilanda banjir besar sejak Selasa akibat hujan lebat yang disertai dengan air pasang.
ROM: Kerajaan Itali mengisytiharkan darurat dan 20 juta euro bantuan kecemasan disediakan ekoran bencana banjir terburuk yang melanda Venice dalam tempoh lebih 50 tahun, kata Perdana Menteri Giuseppe Conte semalam. Bandar timur laut itu yang disenarai sebagai Tapak Warisan Dunia Unesco dilanda banjir besar sejak Selasa akibat hujan lebat yang disertai dengan air pasang, lapor agensi berita Anadolu.Banyak destinasi menarik dan muzium ditutup.
Conte berkata, penduduk yang terjejas boleh memohon bantuan sebanyak 5,000 euros untuk pampasan awal, manakala perniagaan pula boleh menerima bantuan sehingga 20,000 euro Venice dilanda banjir hampir setiap tahun, tetapi banjir terburuk dalam sejarah berlaku pada 1966 yang mana air mencecah sehingga 1.94 meter .
