A 45-year-old Bangladesh i grocery store supervisor in Shah Alam met a tragic end on Friday (February 14) when he was fatally attacked by one of his employees. Shah Alam District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Iqbal Ibrahim, confirmed receiving a call about the stabbing incident at 8:26 am. Upon examination, it was determined that the victim succumbed to injuries sustained to his head, body, and hands, as reported by Astro Awani.
The perpetrator, also a Bangladeshi national, was identified as being involved in a dispute with the victim regarding delayed salary payments. According to Assistant Commissioner Mohd. Iqbal Ibrahim, investigations revealed that a verbal altercation ensued between the supervisor and the employee concerning the unpaid wages. The situation escalated rapidly, leading to a physical struggle during which the victim was brutally attacked and repeatedly slashed with a meat cleaver. The police swiftly responded to the incident, apprehending five Bangladeshi nationals, including two women and the main suspect, aged between 33 and 53, at 1:49 pm on the same day. Preliminary investigations indicate that none of the suspects have prior criminal records, and urine screening tests were negative for drug abuse. All suspects have been remanded for seven days to assist in the ongoing investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The incident took place in Section 7 of Shah Alam, and authorities are urging anyone with information pertinent to the case to come forward and provide assistance.
