BANGKOK: Bangkok Governor Aswin Khwanmuang signed an order on Sunday (May 3) for temporary closure of 34 locations that pose a risk for Covid-19 (coronavirus) infection until May 31. Although cases in the country has been dropping over the last two weeks, the capital city of Thailand felt on Sunday that it had takes measures to further strengthened the fight against the pandemic.

BANGKOK: Bangkok Governor Aswin Khwanmuang signed an order on Sunday for temporary closure of 34 locations that pose a risk for Covid-19 infection until May 31.

Although cases in the country has been dropping over the last two weeks, the capital city of Thailand felt on Sunday that it had takes measures to further strengthened the fight against the pandemic. Thailand on Saturday reported six new Covid-19 cases and no deaths, with accumulated infections standing at 2,966.

Across 68 provinces, however, Bangkok has the most with 1,524 confirmed cases. The death toll remained at 54, and 2,732 people have recovered and returned home. Most of the new cases involved those having contacts with previous patients, as well as Thai returnees from Japan and India.4.
