Jerome Kasey took the life of his cousin, Jeremiah Beamon, in 2021. Now, he will spend the rest of his life in state prison.

Kasey and Beamon came to Harrisburg Nov. 16, 2021 —— to supply an acquaintance, James Williams, with drugs to sell, prosecutors at trial said.

“He was his family — his flesh and blood,” Gerard Mangieri, Kasey’s attorney, said to cast doubt on his client’s guilt during his closing statements last week. Mangieri said Beamon and Kasey grew up together and had known one another their entire lives. Mangieri said it was Williams who killed Beamon—not Kasey.
