PETALING JAYA: Malaysian top mixed doubles pair Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying are on the brink of winning their second World Tour title of the season when they made it to New Zealand Open final.

The world No. 5 beat Indonesia's Hafiz Faizal-Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 21-14, 21 in the semi-finals in Auckland on Saturday , avenging their earlier defeat to the same rivals in the quarter-finals of Singapore Open three weeks ago.

Peng Soon-Liu Ying will meet another Indonesian pair Pravern Jordan-Melati Daeva Oktavianti in their career's sixth World Tour final tomorrow. Peng Soon-Liu Ying are hoping to claim their second victory this year after winning the Thailand Masters in January. If they go on to win tomorrow, it will also be their second time winning the New Zealand Open. They were previously the winners in 2016.They face Indonesia's Mohammad Ahsan-Hendra Setiawan.
