PETALING JAYA: Several national back-up shuttlers will have to wait longer for their first competition of the year.

Singles players Lim Chong King, Ng Tze Yong and Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin have seen their hopes of competing in the Vietnam International Challenge in Hanoi from March 24-29 dashed after the meet was postponed due the Covid-19 outbreak.A total of 16 cases were recorded in Vietnam but there no death has been reported.

Chong King, Tze Yong and Aidil, who were supposed to make their first competitive appearance in Lingshui, will now go have to go without a single tournament in the first quarter of 2020.
