INTERIOR and Local Government Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. bared on Wednesday the members of the advisory group that will conduct the initial review of the courtesy resignations submitted by third-level Philippine National Police officers.Abalos said those will make up the 5-man committee are Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, PNP chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr.
'We have high respect for these five volunteer advisors who accepted the very difficult challenge and responsibility of conducting an investigation to continue to suppress illegal drugs in the country,' the DILG secretary said in a press briefing.Out of the 953 PNP officers that includes full colonels and generals, 12 did not submit their courtesy resignations, Abalos reported. Of the 12, five have retired and six are retiring.
