It will be driven by the private sector to attract foreign investors, says the minister.
Economic Affairs Minister Mohamad Azmin Ali has said the revived Bandar Malaysia project will not receive allocations from the government and will be driven by the private sector.
"We want to make Malaysia a financial hub again in the region," he told reporters after reviewing Felda's new generation housing project at Palong 8 in Jempol, Negeri Sembilan today. Yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad announced that the government would resume the Bandar Malaysia project with a gross development value of RM140 billion after it was suddenly stopped in May 2017.
