PUTRAJAYA: Tan Sri Azam Baki has been reappointed Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner for one year, with effect from Sunday , says Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.
“His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia has consented to Azam’s appointment, which was made in accordance with subsections 5 and of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act,” Mohd Zuki said in a statement on Friday .Prior to that, he served as the MACC deputy chief commissioner for four years from 2016, in addition to holding the positions of director of Intelligence and director of its Investigation Division.
"I will continue to ensure this trust is fully implemented and carry out these responsibilities with full integrity," said Azam in a statement, He added that MACC also hopes that all Malaysians and the government work together with the MACC to fight corruption in this country without compromise.1MDB, subsidiaries file lawsuit against Rosmah for US$364mil
