SEREMBAN: Guests and recipients of awards and honours in conjunction with the 75th birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir will be required to put on face masks when they attend the event at Istana Besar in Seri Menanti on Jan 14.
said the move was a precautionary measure to check the spread of Covid-19.
Aminuddin said if the number of cases increases rapidly, then the state government may consider making it mandatory for people to put on masks in certain areas. He said there was no reason for this for now as the number of cases in the state was among the lowest nationwide and under control. On a separate matter, Aminuddin who was also PKR vice-president, said a meeting among the members of the unity government at the federal level would be held at the end of the month to discuss political cooperation including state elections due to be held in six states this year.
