The Avengers go noir.
The Winsome Wasp will be taking The Avengers in a noir direction for Avengers Inc. The last time Marvel readers caught a glimpse of the founding Avenger was earlier this year in a four-part miniseries where Wasp confronted her tragic origin and turned her father's former lab into a new rooftop base/bar for the Avengers. Now, Janet Van Dyne is undergoing a major evolution alongside new ally Victor Shade.
Avengers Inc. Gives Wasp a New Mission Following the death of David Cannon in the previously mentioned Wasp series, Janet is on the case, and she discovers that Whirlwind wasn't the only casualty. The preview shows the Griffin, Quicksand, and various other villains have also been 'murdered,' only to apparently rise again as new threats.
