Defining the News

The Land Transportation Office is seeking the cooperation of one of the biggest automotive dealers’ associations to finally resolve the backlogs in car plates and the delay in the release of car registration documents.

There are several changes that are fastracking with the help of another automobile group, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc., and the motorcycle dealers association. With the continuing registration of new vehicles, the current demand for vehicle plate demand is between 2,000 to 4,000 per day, he said.

“Right now as we speak, I have instructed all district offices, regional directors that we should be able to cater to the current demand as far as motor vehicles is concerned,” he added. He cited the long wait of automotive dealers for the approval of their accreditation as he had vowed to speed up the process through online applications.
