Auto Bavaria and Affin Bank Berhad have partnered to boost Malaysia's EV charging network, supporting the nation's transition to a sustainable transportation future.
Auto Bavaria and Affin Bank Berhad (Affin) announced a strategic collaboration to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the country. The partnership aligns with the environmental, social, and governance ( ESG ) goals of both organizations, aiming to promote more responsible transportation solutions. Vi Thim Juan, Managing Director of Auto Bavaria, stated that electric vehicles will be the driving force of future transportation.
'This collaboration with Affin truly demonstrates our commitment to strengthening EV infrastructure development and supporting Malaysia's transition towards a low-carbon economy,' he said in a statement. 'Together, we empower drivers to make more responsible transportation decisions and reduce their carbon footprint in their vehicle ownership needs,' he added. Meanwhile, Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, President and Chief Executive Officer of Affin Group, expressed excitement about the EV charging facilities and emphasized the long-term collaboration with Auto Bavaria and the group's commitment to sustainability. He clarified that the group's collaboration demonstrates Affin's unwavering commitment to the ESG agenda, which brings positive impacts for the future while providing a delightful and satisfying customer experience. 'This initiative aligns with the pillars of the AX28 Strategic Plan, namely 'Unmatched Customer Service' and 'Responsible Banking that Creates Meaningful Impact.', he said.
