Officials said there were only two calls for service along Colorado Boulevard overnight, a smaller tally than in recent years, reflecting a smaller crowd overnight.
It was a relatively quiet night on the Rose Parade route overnight in the lead up to this morning’s Rose Parade, with authorities reporting fewer calls for service, but also observing less crowd in general than in past years.
There were two fire calls for service along Colorado Boulevard, a low number, officials said, perhaps reflecting what appeared to be a smaller crowd size – at least overnight, said city of Pasadena spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.Typically, hundreds of thousands of people line the 5.5.-mile-long route, and many brave chilly temperatures to camp out before the parade.
