The woman, known only as Jane Doe 1, is one of two to pursue the businessman over the claims in a New York court. Mr Hariri denies the allegations.
An Australian woman who worked on the private jet of former Lebanese prime minister Saad Hariri has accused the businessman of repeatedly sexually assaulting her, often while “heavily medicated”.
She observed Mr Hariri’s passengers “drinking heavily and consuming cocaine”, the filings allege, “often exacerbating their inappropriate advances”. Mr Hariri, she claimed was “often heavily medicated”. The woman also alleges that after a flight to New York, Mr Hariri came up behind her, wrapped his arms around her, forcefully grabbed her genitals, and whispered “I like you. I’ll see you again, very soon”.
She added: “Unfortunately, horrible things do happen in this industry. No longer should the powerful and the elite just think that they are immune and can get away with this.” Zachary Holzberg, of Derek Smith Law Group, said it was “preposterous for the defendants to call this lawsuit a smear campaign”.
