Australian opposition to fight Aboriginal ‘voice to parliament’

A PUSH to recognise aboriginal Australians in the country’s constitution suffered a major blow today, as the conservative opposition party said it would fight against the proposed reforms. Australia’s centre-left government wants to change the constitution to empower the indigenous population, which is persistently plagued by poorer health, lower incomes and higher rates of incarceration.
