The health minister today will introduce legislation that bans the importation, manufacture, supply, and commercial possession of disposable single-use and non-therapeutic vapes unless they are used for legitimate health reasons. Meanwhile British Foreign Secretary David Cameron and Defence Secretary Grant Shapps will sit down with their Australia n counterparts in Canberra before all four ministers travel to Adelaide on Friday for their formal AUKMIN summit.

Immigration Minister Andrew Giles is speaking on those who have been released from immigration detention. " We put in place a range of measures to secure the powers and also the resources our law enforcement agencies require to keep the community safe," Giles says. "As the ABF commissioner said, and I quote, ''The ABF adapts to have the best outcomes for the community'.'" "A big part of that was putting in place a community protection board of expert law enforcement officials to advise on the mechanisms that are available," Giles says. Giles says the ABF's expert advice allows the government to have the skills and information to manage the cases appropriately.Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has asked for a raise of hands in Parliament for those who think the decrease in the unemployment rate is good. "The total employment increased by 437,000 over the year. We think that's good. They (the opposition) think that's bad," Mr Albanese say
