“Our entire defence establishment is basically the greatest pacifist organisation in the history of Australia,” Mr Sheridan told Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt. “It believes that at the core of its being that the Americans will always be there to take care of us and that we can’t do anything very substantial for ourselves if we’re faced with a threat from a big superpower like China.”
