Australia hadkan jumlah kemasukan pelajar antarabangsa
SYDNEY: Australia akan mengehadkan jumlah kemasukan pelajar antarabangsa di negara itu bagi mengurangkan kemasukan warga asing dan kekurangan penyediaan rumah sewa.
Menteri Kanan Kerajaan berkata, had untuk sektor pendidikan akan menjadi sebahagian daripada rancangan yang lebih luas untuk mengurus migrasi, meningkatkan ketersediaan perumahan dan menangani kekurangan kemahiran dalam ekonomi. Timbalan Naib Canselor di Universiti Melbourne, Michael Wesley memberitahu Australian Broadcasting Corp, pihaknya berharap kerajaan akan menyasarkan penyedia pendidikan yang tidak bertanggungjawab.
“Kami yakin semua pelajar antarabangsa kami adalah pelajar tulen dan berharap impak penutupan visa ini akan dikuatkuasakan kepada sektor pendidikan yang tidak tulen,” katanya.
