Labor MP Andrew Charlton says Australia had a “big slump” in migration during the pandemic and the current levels show some “catch-up”.
“The important thing to remember about the current migration levels is we had a big slump in migration during the pandemic, many
fewer people were coming to Australia … what we’re seeing now is a little bit of catch-up,” Mr Charlton told Sky News Sharri Markson.
