F1 racecar presented at Governor's Mansion. Austin City Limits may now be behind us, but now with the Formula One Lenovo Grand Prix returning to Circuit of Americas this weekend, packed hotels and crowded airports are not.
"This is the end of ACL travel,” Austin-Bergstrom International Airport spokesperson Sam Haynes said. “We get a quick little break to catch our breath here at the airport.”"When we have these busy days at the airport, people want to know why the airport is so busy. And it’s because there are so many people in our community who want to fly, and who want to travel,” Haynes said.
"So it is going to be absolutely record-breaking busy. Our teams are preparing, our concessions are preparing, our airlines are preparing,” Haynes said. “Everybody at the airport knows that it is an all-hands-on-deck operation.” Circuit of Americas expects to generate another billion dollars in tax revenue this year between flights, hotel stays, and food.
