The Austin Chamber of Commerce held its annual Infrastructure Summit Monday, bringing policymakers, engineers, and businesses together to talk about growth in Central Texas.

The Austin Chamber of Commerce held its annual Infrastructure Summit Monday, bringing policymakers, engineers, and businesses together to talk about growth in Central Texas . " Central Texas has rapidly grown over many years, and infrastructure needs to keep up with the growing demands of people that are here," Austin Chamber President and CEO Jeremy Martin said. The Austin Chamber of Commerce has been hosting Infrastructure Day since 2010.

It's now a full-blown Summit which Martin says brought in hundreds of people to hear from more than 30 speakers across eight panels. "[It's as basic as how you get to and from your job, how your kids get to and from school," Martin said. "You have to plan ahead, you have to pay for it. And so how we choose to invest in our infrastructure affects everyone
