Beliau memberi reaksi terhadap komitmen Perdana Menteri Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad turun padang bermula esok bagi membantu kempen pilihan rayanya.“Sebagai calon, kita mengharapkan kerana ia memberi impak kepada pengundi itu sendiri.“Tun dikenali ramai dan seorang negarawan,” katanya.
“Macam Tun Mahathir sebut semalam, ada sebahagian rakyat yang tidak tahu Tun Mahathir bukan lagi Perdana Menteri di bawah BN tapi di bawah PH,” katanya. Pada malam esok, Tun Mahathir dijangka menyertai Ceramah Mega Pakatan Harapan Bersama Perdana Menteri di Tapak Terminal Bas Kukup. Ia diikuti Dialog Perdana Menteri Bersama Penjawat Awam Negeri Johor mengenai Wawasan Kemakmuran Bersama 2030 di Hotel Impiana Senai, 9.45 pagi.
