Baasil Sheppard, 33, is charged with attempted homicide for a Sept. 27, 2021 shooting that injured a man in Harrisburg. Harrisburg and federal authorities have arrested a man suspected of shooting another man last fall in the city, police said.
Baasil Sheppard, 33, was wanted on attempted homicide, aggravated assault and firearms offenses for a Sept. 27, 2021 shooting on the 2300 block of Derry Street that caused a man non-life-threatening injuries, according to Harrisburg police. Harrisburg police and the members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Sheppard around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the area of South 15th and Swatara streets.
Sheppard was also wanted on simple assault and terroristic threats charges in connection to a domestic assault investigation, police said.show Sheppard was denied bail because of the nature of the charges, and is being held in Dauphin County Prison.
