The last year was rough, at least by Boras’ bottom-line numbers. Search his name on Google and the top headlines that appear mention his last offseason of negotiating contracts as “dreadful” and a “disaster.
“I watched the career of one of my law professors who was responsible for bringing a lot of people to the Supreme Court,” Boras said last week while. “The thing about lawyers is it’s kind of like you’re a rookie until you’re 60-65. I’m just kind of floating into my legal career where things really begin. I can apply an experience level and counsel so many things that have come up repetitively before. I’m able to respond to them quickly and with the right criteria.
