Australian shares are set to open lower as Wall Street struggled ahead of Nvidia’s pivotal earnings report.
Wednesday’s reporting schedule includes: APA Group | Corporate Travel | Domino’s Pizza | HMC Capital | IDP Education | Iluka | Karoon Energy | The Lottery Corporation | Pepper Money | Perpetual | Qualitas | Santos | Siteminder | WiseTech | Woolworths | Worley The yield on the US 10-year note was down 2 basis points to 4.32%
“It tells me that people are still scrambling to buy calls in Nvidia,” said Scott Nations, president of Nations Indexes. “They still want upside much more than they’re worried about downside protection. That is an outlier in the biggest names in the SBond yields ticked down. John Lynch, chief investment officer at Comerica, says the market is in a “bear steepener”.
