Earlier in the week, a report coming out of Taiwan claimed that ASUS is going through a few rounds of
restructuring. One of the casualties as part of the process were said to be the company’s Zenfone division, with staffers moved around to either the ROG Phone team or elsewhere in the company. This would basically mean the end of the Zenfone line of devices, should it actually happen. The company has since released a statement denying the report.
There’s not much in terms of details in said statement, as it is a very short one. Beyond denying that the ASUS Zenfone 10 will be the last in the series, the company says that it will be maintaining both its smartphone lines. The company then directs to its Q2 earnings for more information, and to stay tuned for next year’s product lineup. On one hand, this is reassuring news for fans of the Zenfone series, even if its market availability is limited.
