The Astros and Rockies will play a regular-series season in Mexico next season, according to The Athletic.

Mexico's high altitude has led to high-scoring games with balls flying out of the park. The Astros put up double-digit runs in both wins over the Angels in 2019, winning 14-2 and 10-4. That 2016 exhibition game ended in a 21-6 loss for Houston.

There have been 146 players from Mexico reach the big leagues, including 13 in the majors this season. Jose Urqudiy grew up in Mazatlán before signing with the Astros when he was 19. Backup catcher César Salazar was born in Hermosillo, which is located just outside of Mexico City. Salazar moved to Tucson, Arizona, when he was 16.

The Mexico series are a part of MLB's efforts to spread the game internationally. The Cubs and Cardinals will play a series in London later this season.
