The Astros moved top pitching prospect Hunter Brown to the bullpen prior to Sunday’s game against the Oakland A’s, perhaps a harbinger for his potential role on a playoff roster.

“A lot of people could be out of the bullpen , but you have to be on the team first,” manager Dusty Baker said. “We’ll worry about that when we get closer. We can’t speculate on that now.” Brown was scheduled to make his major league debut out of the bullpen as part of a piggyback start against the Angels on Sept. 2, but the team deviated from the plan when the game got close.
