Academy + Outdoors will start selling Astros Gold Rush merchandise beginning April 1
Starting at midnight on Wednesday, March 22, fans can attend the Astros Gold Rush retail event at Minute Maid Park to purchase exclusive Astros gold merchandise. The Union Station Team Store will be open for 24 hours for fans to purchase the gold gear, which will include jerseys, t-shirts and hats.to purchase the championship Gold Rush merchandise will have more opportunities next month.
Starting April 1, all 32 Academy Sports + Outdoors in the Houston area will begin selling the Houston Astros Gold Rush merchandise that commemorates the Astros' 2022 World Series title.All of the same merchandise that is being sold at the Union Station Team Store at Minute Maid Park will be available at Academy, per a spokesperson for the retail store. This means fans may have a more convenient location to purchase the new signature jerseys, hats, and more.
According to an Academy spokesperson, the Astros Gold Rush merchandise sold at Academy will be the same price as the merchandise found atBecause Academy is the official sporting good and outdoor retailer of the Houston Astros, they will have an exclusive selling window of April 1 - 3 to sell Astros Gold Rush merchandise, according to the retailer spokesperson. The merchandise will be sold at other retailers after April 3.
The Astros will wear the gold uniforms for two games to start the season March 30 on Opening Day on March 31 on Ring Day.
