PETALING JAYA: Starting May 4, Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd will air the Education Ministry’s Educational Television Programme (Program TV Pendidikan) on its education channel Tutor TV Astro.
The Education Ministry said the educational programme slot was in addition to the education programmes currently aired on national broadcasting station Radio Televisyen Malaysia’s special channel TV Okey.“Broadcasting will start on May 4, for two hours every Monday to Friday, between 10am to 11am on channel 601 and 11am to 12pm on channel 603.
“The programmes will be repeated on the same day between 3pm and 4pm on channel 601 and 4pm to 5pm on channel 603, ” said the ministry in a statement issued on Sunday . It added that the programmes could also be viewed whenever and wherever for free through the Astro GO application, which can be downloaded onto electronic devices that operate on Android or iOS.
“This initiative is to increase students’ access to learning materials through alternative platforms, besides online learning during and after the movement control order . “We are confident that this collaboration with Astro will benefit students, teachers and parents, as it enables the teaching and learning process to be made more widely available in the current challenging environment, ” the ministry said.or on their social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @KemPendidikan.
